The Southridge Positive Impact Passportgives each child in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 the opportunity to earn up to six specialstickers for differentactions that show kindness, responsibility, and a desire to help others. These actions can be big or small, and the goal is to inspire ongoing positive behaviour and choices that consider those other than ourselves.
How It Works:
·Your child can earn stickers for positive activities both in and outside of school. Forexample, participating in a Beach Clean or helping with an environmental group over a prolonged period of time could earn anEnvironment sticker.
·They might take part in a one-time event that has a big impact, or engage in smaller, repeated actions over time that make a difference.
·Each of the six stickers will reflect different areas through which or in which we can make positive impact. They are; environment, sport, coast, community, diversity & inclusion and mental health and wellbeing.
·The children can earn rewards for having a positive impact on themselves, our school, the local community or the wider world through activity in any one of the six areas.
·We have made links with six ambassadors to represent each of the areas. These ambassadors will regularly connect with the children through assemblies, letters and visits to inspire a variety of behaviours which could be considered to have a positive impact.

Whitley Bay Rotary Club
Our friends at the Whitley Bay Rotary Club volunteer their time to raise awareness and money for charitable causes both locally and further afield. They support the local first schools by celebrating a special assembly with the Year 4 Leavers each year in which they give the children a meaningful and useful gift to help them on their way to the next stage of education. Our ambassadors helped us to think about how we could volunteer our time in order to support others.
